For the Bible Tells Me So

The HRC Philadelphia Steering Committee will host a special event to commemorate the opening of the film "For The Bible Tells Me So" in the city. Through the experiences of five average Christian American families, For
the Bible Tells Me So
demonstrates how insightful people of faith handle the realization of having a gay or lesbian child. Informed by such respected voices as Bishop Desmond Tutu, Harvard's Peter Gomes, Orthodox Rabbi Steve Greenberg and Reverend Jimmy Creech, this documentary provides an unprecedented opportunity to dig deeper into a vital issue confronting the church and society.

The documentary will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Landmark Ritz theater followed by an open discussion of the topics addressed in the film at the Christ Church Neighborhood House, 20 N American Street,(Near the corner of 2nd and Market) Philadelphia, PA 19106. We look forward to your attendance!
